Echo Park Office Water Damage

The green commercial grade carpeting in this office suite in Echo Park suffered water damage. When repair work was progressing the water line had not been shut off. This meant that the followed that flowed through the corridor was clear water free of contaminants. Our SERVPRO WRT technicians responded immediately to remove the water from the carpeting and to prevent wicking up the walls. We used power vacs with specialized wands to suction the moisture from the short-napped carpet. This type of carpet does not have an underlying pad, so the extraction was quicker. We removed the vinyl case baseboards to allow the moisture to escape from the walls. Several dehumidifiers were deployed, since taken out of the After Photo, to facilitate the evaporation and capture of airborne water molecules. The office manager was very pleased with the speed of our work and the nominal disruption to office routines.
