Commercial Water Damage – Los Angeles
Commercial water damage to this Los Angeles office storage area occurred when a water line for the fire suppressant system ruptured. The photo shows the downed ceiling tiles. The carpeting and drywall were also soaked and unsalvageable. We were not going to be able to restore the room to preloss condition, so we worked with the owner of the property and his insurance adjuster to devise a demolition and rebuild plan for the project. It took some time to tear out the damaged building materials and dispose of them properly. Once we finished that phase, we used commercial air movers and dehumidifiers to dry the affected building materials. Next, we treated the wood trusses with an antimicrobial agent to inhibit mold growth. Then the space was ready for the rebuilding phase.
